Criteria: The scholarship provides financial assistance for the higher educational needs of the children (natural or adopted) of law enforcement officers. Applicants must be a dependent child of a law enforcement officer (full-time active service, retired, or killed in the line of duty), must be a current high school senior or currently attending a community college or 4-year university, must have a cumulative Grade Point Average of 3.3 or higher (based on a 4.0 system), and must be active in the community through volunteer work.
Amount: These children are eligible to submit an application for the two available scholarships – a first prize, which is a one-time payment in the amount of $1000.00, and a second prize, which is a one-time payment in the amount of $500.00.
